Scope of the workshop
The study of collective excitations in liquids and glasses, in the (W,Q) region where the concept of generalized hydrodynamics applies and structural relaxation phenomena take place, is an active research field. Scope of this workshop is both to review experimental achievements and to discuss open problems, in connection with recent and future technical developments and instrumental advances. Inelastic scattering techniques, and particularly Neutron Brillouin Spectroscopy, provide an indispensable tool to access the details of microscopic dynamics of fluids and amorphous systems. The new perspectives opened by the novel BRISP spectrometer at the ILL will be highlighted.


Programme
The program will consist of about 15 invited talks (30 minutes each) on relevant results on the following subjects:
• Low-Q dynamics of disordered and magnetic materials
• Collective modes in molecular fluids, liquid metals, glasses, mixtures and alloys
• Inelastic scattering techniques (Neutrons, X-rays, Light)
• New instruments and technical developments
• Round Table on open problems and perspectives of Neutron Brillouin Scattering
• Poster Session
